Privacy
Short version: this is a reading site. There are no accounts, no logins, no forms that send us anything, and no place to enter details from your letter.
What we collect
No personal information is requested or stored by this site. We do not ask for your name, address, email, phone number, Social Security number, case details, or any code printed on correspondence you received.
The “Understand your letter” checklist
The checklist runs entirely in your browser. Ticking a box changes what is displayed on your screen and nothing else — the answers are not transmitted, not saved to any server, and not persisted after you close or reload the page. There is no field to type letter details into, by design.
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies and runs no cross-site advertising profiles. Standard server logs kept by our hosting provider may record requests, including IP address and browser type, for security and reliability; those logs are not used to build a profile of you or shared for marketing.
Links to other sites
We link to government offices, courts, and occasionally to a company we describe. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and a link is not an endorsement. Read the privacy policy of any site before entering information there.
Children
This site is intended for adults and is not directed at children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version appears on this page. Because we hold no personal data, there is nothing for us to delete on request — but you can read our editorial policy for how we handle corrections and About for how the site is funded.
